  That day at Nagpur, one afternoon in the year, 2014, I was discussing with Shri Khishty, on a cup of tea, his feedback post his lecture session with officers of a leading Corporate in energy sector.  Mr Khishty, a sought after external faculty, with rich experience arising out of Board level assignments at the large Public Sector Corporate in India, articulated his thoughts in simple terms for the aspiring executives.  As in charge of corporate HR I used to engage with faculties, as they came out from the sessions. At that time, they were at their best of eloquent self.   Shri Khisty shared the gist of the day's discussion with participants through the prophetic lines - "I wish, Officers should exercise restraint and hold files at least, for 24 Hours at their table before onward transmission."   Supervisor's Dilemma - How to Sail Through with Team onboard. Study of Management as a faculty commences with the Concept of Scientific Management - published by Mr F W Taylor in 1911. Briefly speaking, the concept involve, rigorous analysis of input, output and cost. Taylor, demonstrated the efficacy of his ideas at Bethlehem Steel Company, by enhancing worker's productivity from 12 tons to 48 tones per person per day.  Bedrock of such stupendous enhancement was four stage process: a) Selection of Men b) Finding out the best possible method of doing the job, c) designing appropriate tools d) training and motivating the personnel Stopwatch was the key measuring equipment for process reengineering. Despite the success of the program, the workers developed antipathy towards , stopwatch. Anybody with stopwatch on the shopfloor, was considered to be most hated person.   Mother's Day My mother On the day, my memories go to my mother. She did not have degrees in traditional education system. I feel her enthusiasm even on date, when she sat with me, setting covers on the books of new session, with setting aside copies for different hues. From the first Alphabet "A" till completion of class X, she studied with me as my senior. She also memorized History and Geography with me to make me revise on bed in the night, replying her questions. My favorite memories go to myself, studying beside her, under her eyes, while she continued her cooking. On every failure, she always consoled, "Don't Worry", "We will make routine to start studies a fresh". With her day wise hour wise routine, I got the zeal to move ahead.
